LG is no stranger to the small appliance market, and it’s obviously a company focus. Its CordZero A9 Kompressor seems to be an ambitious offering with its versatility, but it will have to prove first and foremost that it can be washed. Not just clean well, but do it incredibly well.
A Versatile Cleaner
The LG CordZero A9 Kompressor doesn’t stray too far from the familiar prototypes we’ve used in other cordless stick vacs. What sets it apart are the separate accessories, the charging base, and the batteries that come with the kit. This model covers all bases, such as a carpet, hardwood, and furniture cleaner.
The accessories consist of the following: a universal nozzle, a power punch nozzle, a crevice tool, and a combination tool. Using a universal nozzle can feel inconvenient at first until you realize that you can stretch the length of the nozzle to make it easier to use when vacuuming the carpets.
The power punch nozzle is effective in scraping tiny bits of debris from the furniture, but it is almost unusable for cat trees littered with hair because it has difficulty sucking bigger bunches of fur. This is due to the close spacing of the rigid plastic brush within the nozzle.
Sucks Well, Never Gets Bloated
The LG CordZero A9 Ultra Kompressor has incredibly well covered all the basics of the vacuum cleaner. It’s a joy to handle, much like the first model. It’s beautifully weighted, amazingly smooth, and pivots smoothly around corners and through gaps. As far as suction is concerned, the regular mode was all I needed for general carpet and hard floor cleaning activities.
Cruising along at its normal power speed, the A9 Kompressor Ultra easily raised the gravel, dirt, and debris that my aging barrel vacuum continues to lose even with a new, clean filter. The Power Drive Multi-Surface Nozzle with its sturdy, spinning bristles effectively beats dirt and dust loose.
For your tiles, the LG CordZero A9K Power Drive Nozzle for hard floors is now slimmer, smoother, and easier to operate. It also has a big, soft brush that won’t scratch those delicate finishes.
Vacuum Transformer Time
One feature of the CordZero A9 that is exclusive to this model is the Kompressor technology. There is a small red lever on the side of the dust container that, when pushed, compresses the dirt from the bin to the bottom half.
This motion helps keep the cyclone from clogging, but it also encourages you to store more debris while you clean up. It’s fantastic, particularly if you remove some sort of fluffy or voluminous debris, particularly pet hair.
The LG CordZero series is that there are multiple devices available in one. Not only are they worthy replacements for that bulky old corded vacuum, but they effortlessly become high-powered handhelds by removing the main telescopic pipe. They’re unbeatable for cleaning those rugged, hard-to-reach areas, and this LG stick vacuum is no different.
Should You Buy It?
It’s a great endeavor on the part of LG, as the CordZero A9 Kompressor is packing a lot for $600. It excels enough in any category to be an excellent cordless vacuum cleaner in high-end space.
